버클리는 자주 가는 곳은 아니라, greek theater를 어떻게 갈까 망설였다. 차로 가자니 주차와 더불어 다리를 건너는 일이 있고, 한번도 타보지 않은 bart를 타볼까 말까 그런 문제. 결국 안해본 쪽으로.

웹에서 들어보았던 mates of state는 아주 좋았다. kori gardner 와 jason hammel 두 사람. 드럼과 건반 만 가지고 노래를 부르는데, 전혀 심심하지 않았다. 조금 실험적이랄까, 다르지만 불편하지 않은 독특한 팝.

spoon은 텍사스에서 온 4인조 락 밴드. 연주도 나쁘지 않았다.

death cab for cutie의 무대는 좋았다. 어두워진 그리스 극장의 분위기도, 그리고 음향도 무척. 무대를 끝내고 다시 올라온 ben gibbard 는 i will follow you into the dark 을 혼자 불렀다. 고맙다는 말을 아주 똑똑하게 외치곤 했는데 커버곡으로는 기타 chris walla 와 만담을 하다 이견이 없는 미 북서부 최고의 밴드라면서 sonics의 노래를 하기도.
